Eric Dodson is undeniably enjoying his time with BKFC.
Although it’s been nine months since he’s fought in the Squared Circle, Dodson joyfully pours himself into his team of aspiring fighters under the upstart Nobody’s Villain MMA banner in Albuquerque, NM.
“I work alongside my brother (BKFC World Flyweight Champion John “The Magician” Dodson), and we’ve got a strong team of up-and-coming fighters. Everybody is always pushing really hard, trying to make each other better,” Dodson says.
“It’s been a while since I’ve competed myself, but I’ve stayed in the gym, putting that work in. Everybody always has something at the gym that we’re preparing for as a team.”
Currently Dodson is locked in for his BKFC Fight Night: Albuquerque battle against fellow fan-favorite featherweight Van Vo on Feb. 28 at the famed Kiva Auditorium, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.
“It’s been a little bit,” the personable Dodson says with a chuckle.
“I’m just pumped to get back in there. This is such an awesome sport that’s so much fun. The company is great, everybody you meet along the way is great.
“Fighting for BKFC lifts my spirits up, and I’m just excited to put on a show.”
Dodson would like to fight as much as he can in 2025.
“Hopefully we can get in there, handle business quickly and walk away with minimal damage. I’d like to fight as much as BKFC will have me,” he says. “I know my job — get in there, put on a show that makes the crowd happy — and that’s exactly what I have planned.”
