Blake LaCaze loves to stay busy.
At BKFC 51 on Sept. 29 in Salem, VA, he will become the first athlete to compete inside the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Squared Circle four times in 2023.
“Heading into this year I wanted to be the most active fighter on the roster, and I think I’ve done a good job with that,” the 6-foot-7 Monroe, LA product says. “I want to fight as much as possible so I’m always moving forward in my career.”
LaCaze is preparing to make a statement at the expense of Stanislav Grosu (2-2, 2 KOs) in their middleweight matchup at BKFC 51.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for Stanislav; he’s definitely a game opponent,” LaCaze says. “He’s got a chin on him – he’s the only person that our division’s champ David Mundell didn’t stop – and he comes to fight.”
Win or lose, LaCaze isn’t taking his foot off the gas pedal.
“I want to fight as much as I can until I have the belt around my waist.”
