Brandon “The Shredder” Shavers is excited to live up to his nickname in his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut.
On Saturday, he takes on Aaron Sutterfield in welterweight action at BKFC 30 in Monroe, LA, LIVE on the BKFC app.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am for this,” Shavers said with a laugh. “It’s been a long time since I’ve had this feeling.”
Shavers isn’t short on fighting experience heading into his first BKFC bout. He has both nine professional MMA matches and pro boxing experience on his resume. Whether he’s wearing gloves or not, Shavers said, his job on fight night is the same.
“A fight is a fight,” he offered. “I’m going in there to put on a show for the fans and get paid.”
Shavers hasn’t written off someday returning to the cage, but he has big goals in the BKFC Squared Circle.
“I’m trying to fight the best of the best. I’m here for a good time, not a long time. I’m trying to rack up wins and fight for the belt.”
