Chancey “Superfly” Wilson doesn’t occupy a spot in the Top 5 BKFC flyweight rankings yet – but he’s ready to change that this week.
At BKFC 38 on Friday, Wilson tries to improve to 3-2 in the Squared Circle against Tyler Randall (2-1, 1 KO), the No. 2-ranked flyweight in BKFC, in Delray Beach, FL, LIVE on The BKFC App.
“I feel like this win is going to put me above everybody,” Wilson says. “When I win, (No. 1 contender JR Ridge) will have no choice but to fight me. I’ll beat JR, and it’ll make me the No. 1 guy.
“A win at BKFC 38 is going to put me at the top, which is where I need to be.”
Wilson has his sights set on becoming the inaugural BKFC World Flyweight Champion in 2023, and he’s willing to fight anyone to accomplish his goal, including John Dodson, the former UFC title challenger who’s jumped out to a 2-0 start in the BKFC Squared Circle after back-to-back, first-round knockouts.
“I feel like I’ve got more to offer than the guys that he’s fought so far,” Wilson says. “I’ve got more grit, I’m a better boxer, I’m faster, and I’m fresher than his first few opponents.
“This is my time.”
