John Hick has one word to describe his fighting style.
“Explosive,” the fast-rising featherweight said with a smile.
Hick has certainly started his bare knuckle fighting career with a bang. He brings a spotless 3-0 record into his BKFC debut against fellow Brit Ellis Shepherd at BKFC 27 in London on Aug. 20, LIVE on the BKFC app.
“This is the next step in my career; I’m excited to get to the top in BKFC now,” Hick said, adding, “This is the biggest fight of my career. It’s massive.”
Hick is ready to rise to the occasion on fight night. He may be a roofer by trade during the day, but he doesn’t get paid by the hour in his fighting career, so he has his sights set on another knockout.
“I don’t believe there’s a better feeling than that,” he offered, laughing. “I’ve yet to find a better feeling.”
He insists he isn’t looking past Shepherd, but Hick has big goals in the BKFC Squared Circle.
“I’d love to fight big names and get the title.”
In the meantime, he has some simple advice for fans.
