John "The Magician" Dodson makes another opponent disappear in Round 1

John “The Magician” Dodson put on another amazing show in the BKFC Squared Circle on the weekend.

On Friday at KnuckleMania 3, the former UFC title challenger improved to 2-0 under the BKFC banner with a second straight, first-round knockout over former champ Jarod Grant in Dodson’s hometown of Albuquerque, NM.

Many highly touted imports from the MMA world aren’t able to rattle off back-to-back stoppage victories to kickstart their tenure with BKFC, especially against a powerhouse opponent like Grant, who’s widely regarded as one of the top young fighters in BKFC.

But the uber confident Dodson isn’t surprised.

“I wanted to showcase my true ability of being the knockout artist that I keep proclaiming myself to be. Now it’s not self-proclaimed; the world is seeing me as the most proficient striker the world has ever seen,” Dodson says.

Dodson doesn’t want to waste any time, instead wanting to test himself in the deepest waters BKFC has to offer. He says Reggie Barnett Jr., the BKFC World Bantamweight Champion, would be an ideal next opponent.

And it’s safe to say “The Magician” is looking to make another opponent disappear in the first round.

“I’m going to hit him so many times that my fist will forever be engraved in his skull when I knock him out.”
