James ‘Knucklehead’ Dennis is primarily a bare-knuckle boxer but tried his hand in some MMA before turning pro. He had a 12-fight amateur career before debuting on the BKFC’s stage back in October of 2021 at BKFC Montana. With matchups against the likes of Sawyer Depee and Rene Rodriguez, Dennis has seen ranked levels of BKFC competition early in his career.
Dennis spent his early career on the Montana regionals and holds some of the fastest knockouts in Montana amateur MMA history including the very fastest at 9 seconds. He holds big power in his hands and more than sufficient cardio to go ten hard minutes. He is usually out thrown in his fights but still manages to land those night-ending blows after making his reads.
James Dennis is a self-proclaimed “country boy” who’s not one for city life. He runs in the beautiful Montana countryside with his dog and prefers training outside in the elements.

Rules
Fighters are permitted to wrap and tape the wrist, thumb, and mid-hand. No gauze or tape can be within 1 inch of the knuckles.
Fighters will “Toe The Line” There are two lines, three feet apart, in the center of the ring where the fighters will start each round. The front foot will be on the line, and then the referee will instruct the fighters to “Knuckle Up” this means the beginning of the round/bout. More »
