George Thorpe began his professional career as a bare knuckle boxer out of his home country of the United Kingdom. He represents Ireland and the UK as a whole while fighting out of Birmingham, which is home to a growing number of high level combat sports athletes.
Thorpe debuted at BKFC 37 where he defeated Jamie Hendry in round three via TKO. He did so while being out thrown but out landing his opponent, demonstrating a high level of accuracy. It will be exciting to see his young career evolve in the BKFC.
Outside of the Squared Circle, George Thorpe works as a scaffolder for a nine to five and as hard of a worker as he is, he’s an equal partier. He likes hitting the pub and traveling with his buddies when he isn’t in camp or training.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is the first promotion allowed to hold a legal, sanctioned, and regulated bare knuckle event in the United States since 1889.

Rules
Fighters are permitted to wrap and tape the wrist, thumb, and mid-hand. No gauze or tape can be within 1 inch of the knuckles.
Fighters will “Toe The Line” There are two lines, three feet apart, in the center of the ring where the fighters will start each round. The front foot will be on the line, and then the referee will instruct the fighters to “Knuckle Up” this means the beginning of the round/bout. More »
