Ryan ‘Superman’ Shough steps in the BKFC from the realm off MMA where he had quite the amateur career getting two belts in Alliance MMA and IT Fight Series. Once he turned pro, he achieved a 2-2-0 record against some decent competition. After his first pro knockout over Justin Richwine, Shough tried his hand at pro boxing. Unfortunately, he was matched up with former BKFC heavyweight champ, Alan Belcher and lost via TKO in round two. The phrase gets overused, but that loss is not a horrible one to have and the looks he got from that match have helped him improve in areas he was lacking.
‘Superman’s’ style can vary from fight to fight but when he is at his best, he pressures and out throws his opponent. He can be guilty of headhunting but that’s simply because he isn’t trying to stay in the Squared Circle all night. Over his 14 fight career, he has had only one fight make it the distance.
Ryan Shough is dedicated to everything he does in life. He trained MMA for years and when he saw that the BKFC was holding tryouts in Phoenix, Arizona, Shough flew all the way from Ohio where he lives and impressed those involved enough to earn a spot on the roster. His weightloss journey from high school is impressive and as a hard working blue collar type of guy, we welcome strong moral characters like his in the BKFC. Look forward to seeing quickly-paced fights from the heavyweight contender as he takes on higher and higher levels of bare-knuckle competition!
