Riley Pellegrino is an American mixed martial artist fighting out of Huntington Beach, California. Like many fighters, he fights for his family but more specifically, his late father. As seen on BKFC Tryouts: Los Angeles, Pellegrino’s father passed away from cancer complications when Riley was training for an upcoming fight. To keep his father’s memory alive, he goes to the Santa Monica Pier whenever he has the chance as is was a special place where he and his father bonded.
Pellegrino is an experienced fighter with a majority of his fights being in lesser regulated MMA promotions which are not on his formal record. He mentions that he has only gone the distance once in over 30 fights and enjoys creating a car crash. He won’t take a knee and he won’t look for the door. Rules
Fighters are permitted to wrap and tape the wrist, thumb, and mid-hand. No gauze or tape can be within 1 inch of the knuckles.
Fighters will “Toe The Line” There are two lines, three feet apart, in the center of the ring where the fighters will start each round. The front foot will be on the line, and then the referee will instruct the fighters to “Knuckle Up” this means the beginning of the round/bout. More »
