The West Virginia based flyweight, Josh Armstrong is yet another MMA fighter entering the no-glove world to test himself in another tough sport with no room for mistakes. He trains out of a small MMA and BJJ gym called Nomad in his area. Armstrong has a very long, 10 year and 14-fight amateur career where he’s fought for three belts. Being a very calculated and patient striker helps his fights to go longer and allow him to stay competitive for the duration. Especially without submissions being involved, we will get to see some instant classics with the Mountain State fighter throwing hands and dragging things out to the ever so rare BKFC decision.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is the first promotion allowed to hold a legal, sanctioned, and regulated bare knuckle event in the United States since 1889.

Rules
Fighters are permitted to wrap and tape the wrist, thumb, and mid-hand. No gauze or tape can be within 1 inch of the knuckles.
Fighters will “Toe The Line” There are two lines, three feet apart, in the center of the ring where the fighters will start each round. The front foot will be on the line, and then the referee will instruct the fighters to “Knuckle Up” this means the beginning of the round/bout. More »
