Pro MMA Record: 24-19-1 (Win-Loss-Draw)
Dan ‘The King of Mekong’ Vinni is an MMA veteran to say the very least. The high level BJJ black belt fights out of London by way of the United Arab Emirates where he trains the military of the country. Training BJJ as a full time job to a nation’s armed forces really enforces the idea of Vinni being a highly technical student of the fight game.
Vinni has a professional MMA record of 24-19-1 to date but that record is continuing to grow as he fights for the BKFC. He has taken a number of MMA bouts after his promotional debut against Conan Barbaru where he scored a round two knockout. Vinni is a six time MMA champion and remains ranked in the top 5 of the Czech Republic based Oktagon MMA promotion.
Dan Vinni likes to implement both conventional and nonconventional along with old school and new school techniques into his bare-knuckle fighting style. He uses his high fight IQ that years of high level BJJ has taught him to exercise and he incorporates that drowning style that we have come to expect from grapplers on the BKFC roster.
Just to give a peek into his extensive knowledge and studying of fighters from all eras and sports, he at one point mentioned wanting to use a cross arm defense a la boxing hall of famer Archie Moore, because he had never seen the technique used in the Squared Circle. It’s observations like that that truly make Vinni something unique in the BKFC and a martial artist that will continue to get better until the day he decides to step away.
