Eddie Alvarez is one of the most decorated mixed martial artists to ever step into the BKFC’s Squared Circle. Kensington, PA’s own son, The Underground King, rose to the highest levels in the sport in two separate promotions, The UFC and Bellator. On his way to becoming a two time, two promotion world lightweight champion, Alvarez has had some epic wars in the octagon against opponents like Conor McGregor, Michael Chandler, Anthony Pettis, Rafael dos Anjos, Dustin Poirier, this goes on and on.

After Alvarez’s MMA career, he decided to continue to push himself in the newly regulated sport of bare-knuckle. Someone of his caliber surely wouldn’t get any easy matches in the ring and he first faced Chad Mendes at BKFC 41. In a war for the ages and future hall of fame fight, he won a split decision and would go on to fight for the inaugural “King of Violence” belt against Mike Perry. He fell short there, but continues to go toe to toe with the best and will headline KnuckleMania V against Jeremy Stephens in his home city of Philadelphia.

You know that when Eddie Alvarez toes the line, you’re about to see fireworks and greatness. The boxing is tight and crisp, the grit is unmatched and even after a long career, he is one of the most dangerous veterans on the BKFC roster. Alvarez feels at home in BKFC as it reminds him of the old 100+ street fights and underground matches he had as a kid.

Eddie Alvarez is of Puerto Rican and Irish descent. He began boxing under his father, Louis and Frank Kubach at a young age and then took up wrestling. He was bred to be a world champion and has a Hall of Fame career because of the mentorship and dedication he possesses. Cherish fighters like Eddie Alvarez as they are very rare breeds in an ultra-violent sport!
