The judges weren’t needed at BKFC Prospect Series Denver on Friday as all of the action-packed event’s bouts resulted in highlight-reel stoppages in Denver, CO.
The event streamed live worldwide on The BKFC App from under the bright lights of the sold-out National Western Center.
In the highly anticipated Main Event, Sawyer Depee earned his fifth BKFC victory with a jaw-dropping, first-round KO over Keegan "The Career Killer" Vandermeer. Depee is now 5-2 in the Squared Circle, with all of his wins coming by first-round stoppage, while Vandereer drops to 2-2.
“I want to go for the belt. That’s what we’re here for, that’s what we’re chasing, and I want it,” Depee told the sold-out National Western Center.
In the Co-Main Event, debuting Denver welterweight Josh "Hellboy" Huber made a first impression to remember by flooring the previously unbeaten Andrew "The Golden Boy" Yates five times en route to the fourth-round TKO victory. Time of the stoppage was 1:47. Yates, who hails from Fruita, CO, is now 2-1.
“I really have to thank my opponent for the opportunity. I wanted to take on a tough guy in my debut, so this feels amazing,” Huber told the jam packed National Western Center. “I think I have the perfect style for BKFC. I hit hard, I have a good chin. I’m one of the younger guys on the card, so I think I’ve got a bright future, and I’m ready to go.”
