Gabrielle Roman is excited for her upcoming business trip to “The Great White North.”

On March 2, the Perth Amboy, NJ product will take on Jade Masson-Wong (2-1) in the Co-Main Event of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships’ long-awaited Canadian debut at River Cree Resort & Casino in Edmonton, AB, LIVE on The BKFC App.

“I can’t wait for the trip,” she says with a big smile.

“Flying out to Florida for BKFC was an amazing experience, and having my debut fight in Denver was so cool too. Being able to compete and travel is amazing – I enjoy every second of it.”

Roman has the spirit of the tourist, but the heart of a fighter, so she clearly understands her first international assignment as a BKFC fighter: beat Masson-Wong.

Roman admits she’s a little nervous competing in the coveted Co-Main Event spot, but she’s ready to rise to the occasion in the biggest fight of her blossoming career and earn a big win over Canada's top female bare knuckle fighter.

“It’s a little scary,” she says with a laugh. “But I’m going to keep the same mindset. Whether I’m fighting in the Co-Main Event or the prelims, I just want to stay humble and fight to the best of my abilities.”

Roman is the No. 5 contender in the stacked BKFC women’s flyweight division, and Masson-Wong is the No. 1 contender, so Roman is looking to bring home a life-changing souvenir – the next shot at BKFC World Women’s Flyweight Champion Christine “Misfit” Ferea (8-1).

“I’ve heard rumors that Jade will get a shot at Christine for the belt if she wins our fight, so I don’t think it should be any different for me if I win.”
