Jared Warren is ready to stalk his prey at BKFC 62.
At the star-studded event on Friday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, Warren will meet JoMi Escoboza in a hugely anticipated rematch for the vacant BKFC World Light-Heavyweight Championship, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.
The hard-hitting big men first did battle in 2022, with Warren taking home the win by decision.
“He backpedaled a lot,” the Tampa, FL product says when asked about his first encounter with Escoboza.
“He’s the only guy that I’ve beat that I didn’t knock out, and a big reason for that was due to him running away. This time I plan on hunting him down and finishing him.”
Does Warren expect a similar performance from Escoboza in Hollywood on Friday?
“I hope not,” he says with a laugh.
“He said that he’s going to come forward this time, and I hope he does. He might come forward early on in the fight, but he’ll go back to his old ways and start backpedaling again after I tag him a few times.”
Warren already has a special spot picked out for his BKFC belt.
“I’ve got a nice spot on the wall that’s ready for it,” he says. “It’ll be next to some other medals and things that I’ve won over the years, but this will definitely be the biggest accomplishment of my career.”
