BKFC Fight Night Pechanga headliner Ruben Warr is no stranger to the Main Event.
The battle-tested Warr has closed the show several times throughout his long MMA career.
He was surprised to get top-spot billing in just his third trip to the Squared Circle, but the fast-rising Louisville, KY product isn’t phased by the spotlight.
“My job is to fight. I don’t care about the fame that comes with it or anything like that,” says Warr, who will meet Robbie Peralta in lightweight action on July 12 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, CA, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.
“I just want to provide for my family – that’s my only goal.”
The prize-fighting Warr knows a big win over Peralta will help skyrocket his earning power with BKFC, so he’s prepared to leave it all on the line in California.
“Robbie is an OG, he’s a gamer, but I’m a different kind of dog,” Warr says.
“These guys don’t understand that I’m someone who’s been in dark places. I’ve trained as hard as I possibly can for this and have sacrificed so much for this.
“It creates a whole different kind of chip on your shoulder, so I’m ready for anything.”
