Bovar Khanakov fights out of Ukraine and holds a lot of BK experience before stepping into the Squared Circle. Before becoming a bare-knuckle fighter, ‘The Gladiator’ had a three-run fight career in traditional boxing. Volume is never an issue for Khanakov but he can overthrow without setting up clean punches and this causes him to have a low accuracy rate. Still, fighting him is dangerous because of the constant fire coming. He likes to stay at range, avoid the clinch and head hunt.
He, his wife and daughter spend time in the states in California and Khanakov has trained with the legendary fighter and coach, Urijah Faber at Team Alpha Male. He has shared war footage from his home country and auctioned off items as well as holding charities to help defend his homeland. For a relatively low profile fighter he has quite the following on social media and utilizes this to get his messages out.
The boxer will always bring the heat and pressure. It will be interesting to see how he does within the organization and look for him to be looking towards the top of the featherweight division sooner than later.
