Ruben Warr is an American mixed martial artist but he has been trying his hand in more striking focussed competitions like kickboxing and now bare-knuckle boxing. Wart began his combat sports career in wrestling which we are learning is actually a great base for bare-knuckle fighting. He held a 12-12-0 professional record as he debuted in Albuquerque, New Mexico against Lorenzo Coca on March 29, 2024.

Warr is another one of these technical strikers and would rather set up combinations over throwing out power. 75% of both his wins and losses come by decision so he is more than capable of holding his own over five two-minute rounds. Warr trains out of a small, tight-knit gym in Kentucky called Triumph Combat run by Damon Bell. This is primarily a Muay Thai/kickboxing focused gym so Warr is no doubt trying to harness more striking power.

Warr is very resilient. He slept in cars and his gym in his early training days and feels “blessed” that he was able to experience this. He relocated from California to Kentucky because of a long distance relationship which gave him two children. He's expressed his lack of a role model in his life and after his debut at BKFC 59 he expressed how he wanted nothing more than to embrace his mother and children after a hard fought victory. Warr  mentioned at the BKFC 59 post fight press conference that his bank account was -$4,000 and turned his life around by fighting. He won't have to worry about being in debt if he continues his excellent performances in the Squared Circle.

The Kentucky resident has spoken about being adopted in middle school and how it made him an angry kid. He’s been able to harness that anger and use it in the Squared Circle. Warr is a Navy veteran of five years and he had two deployments during that time.
