Leonel Carerra is a boxer born and raised in Miami who upon making his BKFC debut has a single bare-knuckle bout under his belt. He Stepped onto the world’s biggest bare-knuckle stage to face Ravon Baxter and they fought at BKFC Fight Night Ft. Lauderdale at light heavyweight.
Carrera is a striking coach and small business owner. He runs Training with Leo, where he teaches children and adults self defense and fitness through boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai. He’s held several youth boxing championships and has fully shifted his focus to the BKFC where he says he will be champion some day. He helped and cornered Gogo Slaveski become the welterweight champion so he’s got the knowledge and technique to shake things up at 175 or 185 where he fights.
Fighting out of Miami, he is immersed in the fight culture there and trains daily outside. Hitting pads, jogging and shadowboxing on the beach. Let’s say there are worse ways to get your cardio in and it seems like this pleasant scenery of Carerra’s surroundings helps him stay in great shape in and out of camp.
