Chris Camozzi is an American mixed martial artist with 42 professional fights including 19 in the UFC. He entered the UFC initially through the Ultimate Fighter: Season 11, but suffered a broken jaw in his qualifier fight to get onto the show. Despite the injury, Camozzi did go on to fight three times but lost his final Ultimate Fighter bout at UFC 121 to formally get on the roster. He went on to Shark Fights for a brief time before returning to the UFC where he remained until 2017. He’s also fought in the PFL and Glory.
Camozzi was born in Alameda, California where he competed in high school wrestling and rugby. He later went on to kickbox as well and pursued a black belt in BJJ which he earned under Steve Hordinski. Needless to say, Chris Camozzi has become an extremely well-rounded mixed martial artist and poses a threat to the highest levels of BKFC athletes in his cruiserweight division.
His first title shot came up against Lorenzo Hunt at BKFC 50. He fell short against the, at the time pound for pound king, *but with Hunt vacating the belt, he has another shot at gold against Sawyer Depee at BKFC 67.
When he’s not fighting or training in camp, Chris Camozzi is a commercial real estate broker in his now home state of Colorado.
