Pro MMA Record: 6-4-0 (Win-Loss-Draw)
Felipe 'Flip' Chavez fights out of Albuquerque, New Mexico and holds a 6-4 record in professional MMA. He has spent time on the regional scene as well as making an appearance in Bellator and the California-based King of the Cage. He enters the world of bare-knuckle being more known for his grappling prowess and technical style although he does hold a KO win in his 10-fight career. Chavez has been fighting professionally since 2004 and fighting only 10 times since then may not sound like a lot but he took a short break from 2009 to 2013 after fighting twice a year up to that point.
Chavez made his BKFC debut at the Prospect Series in his home of Albuquerque where he defeated Michael Manno via doctor stoppage in round three.
You could expect to see a clinch-heavy, pressure heavy style similar to those of Kai Stewart or Kevin Croom with the grappling edge not fully usable in the Squared Circle, he thrives wherever the fight goes. Look for a rising contender in the up-and-coming welterweight. Don't expect many fights to go the distance with the Jackson Wink tactician, as none of his MMA bouts have gone the distance.
