Andrew Strode is ready to keep the great times rolling.
Following the biggest event in BKFC history on Saturday — KnuckleMania V at the sold-out Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia — Strode returns to the Squared Circle this Saturday under the bright lights of the iconic Mohegan Sun, LIVE worldwide on DAZN from Uncasville, CT.
“KnuckleMania was a great card — every fight was awesome — and it made me even more excited for Saturday because we’ve gotta match the same energy with my fight,” the hard-hitting Denver fighter says with a smile.
On Saturday, Strode will look to smash his way to 3-0 with a third straight stoppage victory at the expense of Tyler Randall, the No. 3 contender in the stacked BKFC flyweight division.
Strode, 28, jumped at the opportunity to battle another Top 5-ranked fighter after he stopped perennial flyweight contender Chancey Wilson in his most recent trip to the Squared Circle. As BKFC Partner Conor McGregor once said, Strode isn’t just here to take part; he’s here to take over.
“I feel like I’m going to knock him out,” Strode says when asked for a prediction for Saturday’s high-stakes showdown with Randall. “I’m here to win the belt, so I’m ready to show that I’m a top contender. I’m ready to show David Feldman and Conor that I’m one of the best fighters they’ve got on their roster.”
Strode isn’t looking past Randall, but he hopes a big win at Mohegan Sun will pave the way to the next shot at defending BKFC World Men’s Flyweight Champion John “The Magician” Dodson.
“If the title shot isn’t next, we’ll go back to the drawing board and we’ll be ready for anything, but I really want to fight Dodson,” he says. “I really feel like that would be a superhero fight for the BKFC flyweight division.”
