Austin “No Doubt” Trout has covered historic ground in his first three trips to the BKFC Squared Circle.
The former World Boxing Association champ made his bare knuckle debut with an impressive victory over UFC legend Diego Sanchez, then dethroned former two-division BKFC World Champion Luis Palomino for the BKFC World Welterweight Title. Most recently – in the biggest event in BKFC history – Trout defended his crown for the first time with a unanimous decision over Rico Franco at the historic, sold-out Marbella Arena at BKFC on DAZN: Spain in Marbella, Spain.
It’s not just about wins for Trout. It’s about cementing his status in history, helping to take BKFC to new heights – and enjoying the ride along the way.
“The whole experience was amazing,” Trout says when asked about his time in Spain.
“I’ve been a part of some big fights and some big events, but it doesn’t get any bigger than that. The event went off without a hitch, the crowd was amazing. The promotion of the event, all the buildup – it was amazing. Marbella is a beautiful city. I’m my own biggest critic of my own fights – I can always be better – but it was an unforgettable experience.”
For as much as Trout has accomplished in his first three trips to the BKFC Squared Circle, he’s much more excited about where he’ll be after another three bare knuckle bouts.
“I’ll definitely be a two-division World Champion with BKFC – that will definitely happen in the next three fights – and I’d like to have the BKFC King of Violence belt around my waist,” the Las Cruces, NM-born Houston, TX product says with a smile.
“I definitely see myself with two more titles to my name in the next three fights.”
