Dylan “The Villain” Schulte is making up for lost time in the BKFC Squared Circle.
After waiting 20 months between his second and third BKFC fights, Schulte is booked for a quick turnaround at BKFC 67 in his hometown of Denver on Oct. 25.
“My plan was MMA, but now the plan is bare knuckle – I want that belt,” says Schulte, 28.
“I like the promotion, I like the production, I like David Feldman. Conor McGregor investing in the sport is very exciting. I see bare knuckle fighting growing an awful lot in the next few years, and I want a piece of it.”
Schulte will look to climb to 3-1 in the Squared Circle as he takes on fellow battle-tested bantamweight Derek Perez (2-2) at BKFC 67.
“I’m going to finish this guy in the first round,” he says.
“He’s a tough guy, but I don’t think he’s going to be able to take my punches. I just need to be a little patient in getting to him. I think it’ll end in the first round, but I’m prepared to go a full five rounds as well.”
Schulte sees himself as a face of the franchise for BKFC in the years to come.
“I want that bantamweight belt, then I want the featherweight belt – then I kind of want the lightweight belt too,” he says with a laugh.
“I want all the belts.”
