Christine "Misfit" Ferea had one goal when she first signed on the dotted line with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in 2018.
“My intention was to be a World Champion,” Ferea says.
“That’s always been my intention in any sport that I’ve pursued; I was just waiting for an opportunity like this.”
Now more than five years since her debut, Ferea isn’t just a BKFC World Champion; she’s undoubtedly the most dominant female fighter to ever grace the BKFC Squared Circle.
Ferea has won six straight fights – the longest winning streak for any female combatant in BKFC history. Ferea also holds the record for most stoppage victories among female BKFC fighters, with six.
Ferea will defend her BKFC World Women’s Flyweight Championship for the record fourth time against Jade Masson-Wong at BKFC 65 on Sept. 6 at the world-class Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, UT, LIVE globally on The BKFC App.
The traits of a champion are embedded in your DNA, Ferea says. But it takes thousands of hours of hard work to bring those traits to light. Ferea embodies unparalleled confidence when she steps into the Squared Circle, and that’s not a coincidence.
“We all struggle with confidence in this life, I don’t care what stage you’re at or what you’re doing. You have to work at building your confidence every single day, because things are chipping away at it all day long,” Ferea says. “It’s a daily exercise to work on your confidence.”
That being said, Ferea is more confident than ever heading into her latest historic BKFC World Championship defense.
“I really feel complete at this point,” she says. “I’m in complete control.”
