David “Redneck” Mundell jumped at the opportunity to defend his BKFC World Middleweight Title at BKFC’s hugely anticipated promotional debut in Spain.
“I’m (expletive) pumped,” the champ says ahead of his golden showdown with Danny Christie (5-1) at BKFC on DAZN: Spain on Oct. 12 at the historic Marbella Arena in Marbella, Spain.
“This is my first international fight, and I couldn’t be more excited for it. There’s nothing better than traveling the world doing what you love.”
Unfortunately for Mundell, he won’t have much time to see other historic sites across the country. This is a business trip after all. Fortunately for Mundell, business is booming.
The Oldsmar, FL fighter is looking to defend his belt for the third time. He is 8-1 in the Squared Circle on the strength of six straight victories, with his last four wins coming by stoppage.
Does Mundell expect a fifth straight finish in the Squared Circle?
“One-hundred percent,” he says. “I’m coming in there to knock him out, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.”
Mundell has a simple message for Spaniard BKFC fans.
“I can’t wait to put on a show for the whole country and everybody is going to fall in love with the sport, just like they have in the United States.”
