2024 has been a breakout year for Edgard Plazaola in the BKFC Squared Circle.
At BKFC on DAZN: Hollywood on Dec. 21, Plazaola will look to smash his way to 4-0 with his third stoppage victory since February. The Nicaraguan-born Miami featherweight takes on Alex Castro at the iconic Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, LIVE worldwide on DAZN.
“My opponent is very strong, but I have an advantage with my reach, so I want to keep this fight very technical,” Plazaola says. “I see myself getting the finish in the second or third round.”
Plazaola isn’t looking past Castro, but he hopes to add another eye-catching finish to his impressive highlight reel and enter 2025 ranked in the Top 5 of BKFC’s stacked featherweight division
“My ultimate goal is to win the belt with BKFC, so I’ll take out anybody that’s put in front of me,” he says. “After this win, I’ll be 4-0 with four finishes and should be viewed as a top contender in the division.”
Does “The Dream Killer” see the BKFC World Featherweight Championship belt around his waist in 2025?
“Absolutely. Absolutely,” he says matter of factly.
“When I first signed with BKFC in 2022, I said I’d be the World Champion in 2025, and I believe that’s definitely going to happen.”
