Erick Lozano will be watching Saturday’s Main Event closely.
In this weekend’s BKFC on DAZN: Hollywood headliner, Lozano’s most recent opponent, Mike Richman, meets BKFC World Light-Heavyweight Champion Jared Warren at the iconic Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, LIVE worldwide on DAZN.
Lozano was stopped in the fifth round of his fight with Richman in April. The win propelled Richman to Saturday’s World Championship bout. Lozano, meanwhile, returns to the Squared Circle against Fernando Gonzalez at BKFC Fight Night Pechanga on Jan. 18 at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, CA, LIVE globally on The BKFC App.
Lozano isn’t bitter — he’s motivated.
“I’m sure Mike is going to win the title this weekend, and that’s definitely a fight that I want back. I learned a lot from that fight, and I’d love that rematch,” Lozano says.
“I’m going to go out to Cali, and I’m going to show out. I hope to get a Top 3 opponent after that and hopefully run it back with Richman for the Championship.”
Lozano sees a possible rematch with Richman playing out much differently than their first matchup.
“I think I’d take him out in two rounds,” Lozano says.
But first, the Holland, MI product plans on acing his assignment in Pechanga.
“Fernando is a tough dude. He’s got a lot of experience in MMA and BKFC, like I do,” he says. “We’re going to go in there and bang, but I don’t think he’s fast enough. I think I’m going to take him out before the third round.”
