Hasan Al-Ghanim’s recent BKFC business trip was a smashing success.
At BKFC 67, the fast-rising Canadian lightweight upped his BKFC record to 3-0 with a unanimous decision over Dusty Sparks at the sold-out Denver Coliseum in Denver, CO.
Al-Ghanim’s first two BKFC bouts took place at River Cree Resort & Casino in his hometown of Edmonton, AB. He was able to roll with the punches once again in his first international bout with BKFC.
“It was business as usual for the most part,” he says.
“Aside from a bit of travel and having to modify my fight week schedule a little bit, the only real difference was the boos from the crowd,” he adds with a laugh. “They had some fun booing the Canadian fighting their local guy, but that’s totally fine with me. It was a lot of fun.”
Al-Ghanim, 29, has enjoyed a breakout rookie campaign with BKFC, racking up three victories since his Squared Circle debut in March. He’d like to fight three more times in 2025 and sit at 6-0 by the end of next year.
“In the next 12 months, I’d like to be in the Top 5,” he says. “I want to be in the rankings and knocking on the door of a title shot.”
