Friday can’t come soon enough for Stephen Townsel.
That’s the day he returns to the BKFC Squared Circle for the first time in more than seven months. He takes on Jeremy Smith, the No. 2 contender in the BKFC cruiserweight division, at BKFC 66 under the bright lights at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, LIVE globally on The BKFC App.
“I’m extremely excited – I can’t wait to get back in there. I live for these moments,” the battle-tested Fort Pierce, FL product says.
“It’s been too long – I’m just ready to go.”
Townsel is hungry to return to the win column after back-to-back losses in the Squared Circle.
“We celebrate our victories, but we learn and we push harder through our losses,” he says.
“I’m hungrier now than I have been in a little bit, and I’m more eager to get back in there than I have been in a while.”
Townsel still has big goals with BKFC.
“I want to be remembered as being a part of BKFC’s history when the sport was still in its early stages,” he says.
“I’m blessed to be a part of this sport. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for BKFC while I’m still competing, and afterwards when I’ve retired from bare knuckle.”
