Kasim Ruffin is locked in to end 2024 on a high note.
He battles Bryan Duran, the No. 2 contender in the BKFC featherweight division, at BKFC on DAZN: Hollywood, LIVE worldwide Dec. 21 on DAZN from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.
This is Duran’s first fight since going five rounds with Kai Stewart in their matchup for the BKFC World Featherweight Championship at BKFC 62 in June. Duran is hungry to prove that he still belongs at the top of BKFC’s stacked 145-pound weight class, and Ruffin knows a win in Hollywood could launch him to the top of the division’s Top 5 rankings.
“This is a huge opportunity,” the Portsmouth, VA fighter says.
“Beating him will put a world ranking next to my name, which is a big step in getting to where I want to be with BKFC. This is just one step, but I’m really excited about this opportunity.”
Ruffin is ready to rise to the occasion and up his record to 3-0 in the final BKFC event of the year.
“The first two rounds, you’re going to see me cutting him up a lot with my jab. You’re going to see him try to chase me down and knock me out,” Ruffin says.
“We’re going to get into some good exchanges, but he’s going to tire out in the third round, and I’m going to start walking him down to knock him out.”
