Winning is better than losing – just ask Mike Jones.
Jones recently upped his BKFC record to 1-1 after falling short of victory in his promotional debut.
“It feels great – it definitely beats the alternative,” he says with a laugh after his unanimous decision victory over Diego Romo at BKFC 65 at the sold-out Maverik Center in Jones’ hometown of Salt Lake City, UT.
“It’s definitely a relief to get the first one out of the way.”
Jones never doubted his skills. His confidence comes from a lifetime of training and his nearly 20 professional MMA bouts prior to his BKFC debut in 2023. That being said, he worked tirelessly in anticipation of his second trip to the Squared Circle.
Jones would like to keep the momentum going and rack up another win by the end of the year.
“I want to throw my hat in that mix and stay active in my division,” he says. “I want to take this as far as it’ll go.”
