Pat Casey is working hard to be one of BKFC’s best fighters. “The Gorilla Ninja” already has one of the best nicknames in the organization.
“My nickname was a bit aspirational in nature when I chose it,” the 33-year-old Springfield, MA fighter says with a laugh.
“I wanted to have gorilla-like strength and ninja-like agility. It made sense because people would always say how agile and athletic I was while also being big and muscular. I just wanted to put those two traits together. Being well rounded in your attributes is important in any sport, especially fighting.”
The fast-rising Casey is quickly establishing himself as a prospect to watch in the bustling BKFC middleweight division. He goes for his second straight victory in the Squared Circle against Marcus Edwards (2-0) at BKFC 67 on Oct. 25 at the legendary Denver Coliseum in Denver, CO.
Casey is eager to win big and tee up a breakout 2025 campaign in the Squared Circle.
“(A year from today) I’d like to be at the top of the sport, fighting the other big names in bare knuckle,” he says. “Whether those are guys that have climbed the ranks with BKFC or guys who are coming over from MMA, I just want to be fighting the toughest guys they’ll give me.
“I just want to fight my way up the rankings and move up with the organization.”
