Ryan Shough isn’t a biker, but he's putting the pedal to the medal at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this summer in Sturgis, SD.
Shough will enter the BKFC Squared Circle for the fourth time at BKFC 63 on Aug. 3 when the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion breaks historic new ground at the iconic motorcycle mecca. He takes on Zach Calmus, who’s hunting for his fourth straight stoppage victory in the super-sized BKFC heavyweight division, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.
The 31-year-old Bellefontaine, OH product has a massive opportunity waiting for him in Sturgis. If he can put a halt to the hard-charging Calmus’ win streak in impressive fashion, there’s a chance he’ll land on the BKFC Media Rankings when they’re updated after his fight.
“It’s huge. Just thinking about this fight gives me goosebumps. We’re going to be fighting in front of the biggest crowd that I’ve ever seen, and I just can’t wait,” Shough says.
“If we beat Zach, my stock goes way up and hopefully I’ll land in those Top 5 rankings and secure myself a long-term contract with BKFC – that’s my goal at the moment.”
Shough has other goals with BKFC.
“My long-term goal is to be the BKFC World Heavyweight Champion,” he says.
“I truly believe that I’m of that caliber. I just need to stay disciplined. I’m in a lot better shape now than BKFC fans have seen me before, because you’ve got to put yourself through hell if you want to be the champ.”
