They call Kai Stewart “King Kai” for a reason.
The undefeated Great Falls, MT sensation is primed to defend his BKFC World Featherweight Title for the third time against Jimmie Rivera in the Main Event of BKFC on DAZN: Montana on Nov. 9 at First Interstate Arena in Billings, MT, LIVE worldwide on DAZN.
One triumph at a time, the 24-year-old Stewart has rapidly established himself as one of the brightest stars in bare knuckle fighting – but it didn’t happen overnight.
“I’m proud that I’ve gotten to witness all the growth of BKFC. When I joined, the organization was still doing smaller shows in just a few markets. I only got on my first card because I was a big ticket seller in my MMA career and BKFC needed that kind of help selling tickets at the time,” he says.
“Now, Conor McGregor is my boss,” the business-minded Stewart adds with a smile.
“Headlining their second ever show on DAZN is a huge honor and a massive responsibility. I’ve been given big shoes to fill, and I think I’ve been filling them really well. My growth is matching BKFC’s growth, and I’m really grateful to be here.”
Stewart, of course, predicts that he’ll smash his way to 7-0 in November, but he knows it won’t come easy.
“I think this will definitely be my toughest fight yet,” he says.
“Jimmie has a ton of UFC experience and he was also a wrestler. We’ve got wrestler versus wrestler, volume puncher versus volume puncher, and I’m really going to be pushing to knock him out.
“He’s still right there with everybody in the division, but I can’t wait to show him that it’s out with the old, in with the new. It’s a good day to be the king, baby.”
