Another new intriguing prospect has emerged in the stacked BKFC flyweight division – and his name is Victor “The Art of Violence” Rosas.
The Escondido, CA product was victorious at BKFC Fight Night Pechanga, taking out Luis Iniguez via decision at the sold-out Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, CA. The bout aired LIVE globally on The BKFC App.
Rosas is now 1-0, 1 NC in the Squared Circle, to go along with the hard-hitting Bellator MMA vet’s 7-2-1, 1 NC record in professional MMA.
Both of Rosas’ BKFC fights have been contested at 135 pounds, but he says the 125-pound weight class is more suited for his body type.
The bustling BKFC flyweight division is quickly becoming one of the organization’s marquee weight classes. The undefeated John “The Magician” Dodson currently holds the BKFC World Flyweight Championship, but there’s a full slate of 125-pound contenders hungry to dethrone the defending champ.
You can add Rosas’ name to the list.
“I’d love to call out JR Ridge and take that No. 1 spot on the list of contenders,” he says. “I want to fight the best of the best.”
Rosas “certainly” sees the BKFC World Flyweight Championship belt around his waist in the future – ideally within the next 12 months.
“That belt will mean the world to me and my supporters,” he says.
“I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot in my fighting career already, but winning the belt with such a huge organization would really put an exclamation point on it.”
