Dakota Cochrane is an American mixed martial artist who fought in the Lightweight and Welterweight divisions in several promotions including Belltor and LFA. Cochrane made the jump to BKFC way back at BKFC 6 in 2019 where he defeated Chris Leben and before that, outside of the BKFC, he defeated Johny Hendricks.

Cochrane was undefeated over seven amateur MMA fights and began his fighting journey in the early 2000’s, he went on to make his pro debut in 2009. Three years later he appeared on The Ultimate Fighter: Live season, but fell short and continued on a nice tear through the RFA which is now merged with LFA.

Cochrane has been known to get his work done on the ground, usually via submission, but since he stepped into the Squared Circle, he’s held onto those finishing ways, defeating several high-level opponents by knockout. The guy is a low volume power puncher with a solid chin that only has been cracked by the highest level of the 175 & 185 pound divisions.

Dakota Cochrane has a wife, whom he’s been with since a young age and three kids. He also co-owns a deck and patio company. Fighting is a major priority in Cochrane’s life but his family comes first as he has taught his kids to stay active in wrestling, football and other outdoor activities. To sum up this dangerous striker in three words, hard, work & family.
