Marbella, Spain (July 18, 2024) Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), The World’s Fastest Growing Combat Sports Promotion, held the Launch Press Conference today for BKFC Marbella, Spain set for Saturday, October 12.

Amongst those in attendance on the dais in front of a massive crowd of media were Combat Sports Icon Conor McGregor, BKFC Founder and President David Feldman in addition to main event fighters Franco Tenaglia and Tony ‘Loco’ Soto. Also appearing were recent BKFC signees; undefeated bare-knuckle fighter Dan Chapman and two-time women’s boxing world champion Hannah Rankin.

Below are quotes from the participants;

Conor McGregor

“Judging by the media crowd inside and the huge crowd of fans outside, Marbella is ready for some bare-knuckle action. I’m very excited to be here.”

“We are here today to witness the next evolution in combat sports and nobody knows this game better than me. I conquered mixed martial arts both inside the ring and outside the ring. And today I’m here before you as the owner of the newest and most exciting addition to the combat sports universe, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.”

“The businesses that I own and support have always been those I believe in. I look for opportunities that mean something to me. I do not enter any business venture lightly or without serious consideration for what I can bring to the table. So, when you see my name tied to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship you know I’m truly committed to the business and bringing it to the absolute heights of success.”

“I started out as a boxer and bare-knuckle fighting is the purest form. When I saw my first event live, I was blown away by it. Dave and I started talking, I don’t just back the product, I back the people behind the product. Dave Feldman has done a stellar job with BKFC. This is a sport on the rise and with my backing I’m confident I can strap it to a rocket ship and send it right to the moon.”

“Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is number one in the space, there is no one on this level with us. We are separate from any other entity in combat sports.”

“This is the real deal, no one in this combat sports space can speak one bad word about Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and that for me is money in the bank. I’m not just up here as an owner, more of a player/manager.”

‘David, you built something incredible to watch, a sport like no other and I am honored to be along as an owner and a genuine fan. Thanks so much for bringing me on board. The sky truly is the limit.”

“Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has already seen enormous growth in its fan base and viewership and with the McDaddy aboard you know it’s going to rise.”

‘Money, power, respect – that’s my message to any fighter interested in joining BKFC.”

“David Feldman has such an incredible vision, he stuck to his guns throughout the entire process of building BKFC. He’s an absolute visionary. The matchmaking in BKFC’s young history has been absolutely stellar.”

David Feldman, Founder and President of BKFC

“It’s unbelievable the attention that we're getting already to bring this event to Marbella, Spain. And it will be in a bullfighting arena. Bullfighting and bare-knuckle fighting go hand in hand.”

“We have Franco Tenaglia from Spain taking on Tony Soto for the BKFC Lightweight World Championship. We have Dan Chapman who I’ve tried to sign for three years, he’s going to be

a superstar in BKFC. And former two-time women’s boxing champion, Hannah Rankin.”

“Conor is truly the rocket fuel for BKFC!”

“Absolutely we will be back in Spain, we’re going to Madrid in March or April. We love it here.”

“The co-main event for this card is Austin Trout defending his BKFC Welterweight World Title against Rico Franco, this card is going to be stacked.”

Franco Tenaglia

“I like to bring the madness to the ring, that’s my style.”

“I’ve fought many crazy hooligans from all over like this guy Tony Soto, he’s going to find out the real truth on October 12. You are so boring I slept through your fights.”

Tony ‘Loco’ Soto

“I’m used to enemy territory, I feel very comfortable here. I’m ready to fight in a bull ring, mess with the bull and you’re going to get the horns.”

“Coming from the mud, I’ve always had to prove to people who I was and I still have to prove it. It's such a great feeling to prove everybody wrong.”

Dan Chapman

“David and I have had a fantastic relationship for many years. I’ve been a fan of BKFC for a long time, I’ve seen the sport grow and now with Conor it’s happening for me at the right time. It’s a privilege to be part of this.”

Hannah Rankin

“It’s the most exciting sport right now and I want to be part of it. It’s a new adventure for me and I want to be here.”

“I want to face the best in the division and fight for a world championship.”

About Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC)

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is the first promotion allowed to hold a legal, sanctioned, and regulated bare knuckle event in the United States since 1889. Based in Philadelphia, and headed by President and former professional boxer David Feldman, BKFC is dedicated to preserving the historical legacy of bare knuckle fighting, while utilizing a specifically created rule set that emphasizes fighter safety. BKFC holds all of its bouts in a revolutionary circular four-rope ring, designed to encourage fast-paced and exciting bouts. The patented BKFC “Squared Circle” contains scratch lines, based on the Broughton Rules which governed bare knuckle fighting in the 19th century, and which requires fighters to “Toe the Line”: start every round face to face, and just inches apart.

In BKFC, only those fighters who are established professionals in boxing, MMA, kickboxing, or Muay Thai are allowed to compete. The referees and judges are required to have extensive professional combat sports experience. All fights are held under the auspices and control of an Athletic Commission. Unlike other fighting organizations and combat sports internationally which claim to be “bare knuckle”, but require wraps, tape, and gauze; BKFC is true to its word as fighters are not allowed to wrap their hands to within one inch of the knuckle. This makes BKFC unquestionably the truest form of bare knuckle fighting. BKFC is dedicated to not just creating the safest, most exciting, and highest-level bare-knuckle fighting organization in the world, it’s also leading the way for a new fully recognized professional combat sport. BKFC is truly the sport of the future, which fully respects its remarkable past.
