Michael Larrimore is a prizefighter at heart.

When Larrimore signed with BKFC, the long-time MMA fighter admits he was just looking for “a quick win and a quick payday.” Now 2-0 in the Squared Circle with back-to-back, first-round finishes, Larrimore is chasing bare knuckle fighting’s biggest prize – a BKFC World Championship belt.

The 26-year-old Tampa, FL bantamweight takes the next step in his quest for BKFC gold at BKFC 63 on Aug. 3 in Sturgis, SD, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App. He takes on the battle-tested Derek Perez, who’s shared the Squared Circle with Keith Richardson and Ryan Reber, the No. 1 and No. 2 contenders in the loaded BKFC bantamweight division, respectively.

Most fighters don’t win their first three BKFC fights, but Larrimore isn’t phased by the significance of potentially overtaking the first major milestone of his blossoming bare knuckle career.

“It’s really just another fight,” Larrimore says.

“I respect my opponent, of course, but I’m chasing accolades here. I’m not here just to go 3-0 – this is just the beginning.”

Larrimore predicts a third straight, first-round finish in Sturgis. After that, he wants to test his mettle against a Top 5 opponent as soon as possible.

“All that matters is putting food on the table for my family and supporting them to the best of my abilities,” he says.

“If it takes getting the belt, then let’s get it.”
